BELLINGEN MUSE presents...

Vivaldi wrote his Four Seasons concertos more than three hundred years ago, and they remain some of the most exhilarating and dramatic music ever composed. One of the earliest and most striking examples of programmatic music - music about something other than music.

Vivaldi actually included lines of poetry throughout the scores to tell stories about each season. Also the original style of performance included spontaneity and improvisation.

The Nomad String Quartet brings these stories to life with their characteristic folk-inspired and semi-improvisatory flair. Fresh, vivid and surprising, these are the Four Seasons like you’ve never heard them! All the music you love plus so much more.

Nomad also breaks down the fourth wall to engage directly with the audience, and is passionately committed to breathing new life into classical music. Each Nomad concert experience is a curated journey that is refreshing and titillating to the connoisseur, inviting and accessible to the uninitiated, and emotionally captivating for all.

All members of Nomad are highly accomplished classical musicians who have performed with the major Australian orchestras; what brings them to Nomad is their love of folk, world music, jazz and other improvised traditions.

The Nomad String Quartet was formed in Sydney as the Ben Adler Quartet in 2021. Thus far, it has given over 140 concerts to more than 50,000 people across Sydney, playing music ranging from Vivaldi to Daft Punk, Mozart to Michael Jackson, Mendelssohn to Danish folk songs, Tchaikovsky to Hans Zimmer, Borodin to Anime soundtracks and more.
