Shark & Fox (CAN/AUS)

Described as “the illegitimate love child between The Dirty Projectors and Ivo Papazov’s Bulgarian wedding band” Shark & Fox formed in early 2024 for their first Australian tour, bringing a new collection of songs to the stage, and discovering their own sound alongside the audience at shows across the country. With 3 seasoned artists from disparate musical and geographical backgrounds, the band’s unifying mission is to stay curious, and to let the song be the guide.

Shark & Fox consists of Canada’s award winning Jaron Freeman-Fox on violin, 12-string viola d’amor and fretless guitar, Australia's ARIA nominated Emily-Rose Sharkova on accordion and keyboards, and Rose Callaghan on the drums, with all three members lending their voices in a collective roar, or intricate harmony.

Broken Creek (VIC)

Broken Creek weave compelling musical reimaginings of Australiana for banjo, guitar, fiddle and voice that tell stories from Australia’s past and present.

Erin and Lachlan Heycox grew up in rural Victoria steeped in bushbands and balladeers. Named for the creek Erin grew up near, ‘Broken Creek’ signals a love of country and traditional folk music with an adventurous musical bent to “break” with the conventional.

Broken Creek’s album ‘Yeah Nah’ features songs about small-town Australia, tunes inspired by the land and subversive interpretations of traditional Australian songs. Broken Creek’s debut album ‘Small Town Anthropologies’ was a finalist for FAA Traditional Album of Year.

Isobel Knight (NSW)

Isobel Knight has grown from playing cafes and street corners in her hometown on Dharug country in the Blue Mountains to playing shows and festival slots around the world. Her heart-stopping voice, ear-worm melodies and lyricism have carried her pop-and-soul-influenced folk music into hearts and charts, with her sophomore "Here Now" debuting at #5 in the independent album charts.

She made 'Here Now' with Bob Mallory (the killer ears behind Paste Magazine sessions) and grammy-winner Alex de Turk, with string arrangements from The Who’s Katie Jacoby. She's been called a Metronome Magazine (US) 'Act To Watch', a Quadio (US) Artist of The Day, a Record Union Ambassador and has opened for Fanny Lumsden, Grace Cummings and Lisa Mitchell.

Her duo adds award-winning guitarist and soft-hearted storyteller Solomon Steele, who toured the US in 2023 with Isobel, including a residency with Crabtree Sessions in Maine, and charmed stages, barns and bars alike with their crystalline harmonies and melodic interweaving.
