The Bellingen Big Band is a not-for-profit, community based group. This ensemble has been running weekly for over 25 years, providing training, performance opportunities, and a supportive musical environment.
The band plays a wide range of musical styles from the 1920s through to the modern era, including Swing, RnB, Latin, and Motown plus Vocals.
The concert starts with a classic swingin’ tunes, Moten Swing and Bandstand Boogie followed by Almost like Being in Love sung by Georgie Chorley. Next come a bunch of Latin style arrangements - Copacabana, One Mint Julep and Funky Cha - Cha to select a few.
The second half kicks off with Come Together and Hanky Panky, - instrumental features along with vocals on Signed, Sealed, Delivered and The Look of Love.
The band finishes with Come Fly with Me to cap off a very exciting concert.
We rely entirely on donations to be able to continue running and developing our skills, we appreciate your support.
